At Bean Path, we believe in equipping young minds with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to excel in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). One of the most exciting ways we do this is through our youth robotics program, where students get hands-on experience in coding, engineering, and problem-solving.
A Winning Start for Spark-O-Matic
Our very own Spark-O-Matic Robotics Team has been making waves this year! At their first robotics competition in Flowood, they brought home the “Connect Award”, an honor given to the team that best demonstrates a strong connection to the local STEM community.
This achievement is a testament to the hard work, creativity, and dedication of our young engineers, who continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible. A huge shoutout to Coach Marc Leffler, whose mentorship and leadership have been instrumental in guiding the team to success!

Why Youth Robotics Matters
Robotics isn’t just about building and programming machines—it’s about building future innovators. Through robotics, students develop critical skills like problem-solving, teamwork, and perseverance, all while gaining hands-on experience with cutting-edge technology. Programs like Spark-O-Matic open doors to exciting career paths in engineering, artificial intelligence, and technology while fostering a passion for STEM in young learners.
How to Get Involved
Our youth robotics season is wrapping up, with next Tuesday marking the final session for now. But don’t worry—we’ll be back this summer, potentially as part of our summer camp, and then kicking off a full season in September/October.
If your child is interested in robotics, coding, or STEM, stay tuned for more opportunities to join the Spark-O-Matic team and explore the world of robotics at Bean Path!

Want to stay in the loop? Be sure to follow us for updates on upcoming sessions, workshops, and ways to get involved.
