Curious about cloud computing? Check out Bean Path's chat with Curtis Evans, Principal Developer Advocate at AWS. Learn about the extensive powers of cloud computing. If you want to learn how you can apply cloud services to your business or if you are an aspiring cloud engineer, this talk is for you! Check out a few highlights below.
What is cloud computing?
Cloud computing is the on-demand delivery of IT resources over the internet with pay-as-you-go pricing. Instead of buying, owning and maintaining physical data centers and servers, you can access technology services, such as computing power, storage, and databases on an as-needed basis from a cloud provider.
How is cloud computing different from traditional computing?
Traditional computing requires more resources, which also makes it more cost prohibitive. Traditional computing requires physical space, power, cabling, servers, storage, and other tools. Cloud computing requires less to get started. You can get started with $0 and pay as you go to access the resources you need.
What are the benefits of using cloud instead of traditional computing?
Agility, innovation, and scale! Using the cloud allows you to move data faster and more seamlessly. It also allows you to be more creative with how you manage and store your data. Lastly, you can grow faster since there are fewer parts to manage.
