Create, explore and design with our state of the art machines, including 3D printers, laser cutters, sewing machines and heat presses!

 

Our programs are for skill levels ranging from beginners to experienced Makers. We cater to all levels and even tailor classes to you and your group's needs.

For Makerspace members, machine intro classes are free and all other classes are 50% off! Sign up here for membership & make the Makerspace your creative home. 

Makerspace Courses

Makerspace courses are a series of classes taught by expert instructors. Classes range from 2 to 4 sessions. Price includes the cost of all sessions. Check the descriptions for details.

Printing Using The Cricut

Thursdays 6-8 pm | $50 for non-members | $25 for members

May 4th, 11th, and 18th.

The Cricut is a cutting machine that makes crafting & personalizing items easy. You can personalize almost all everyday items as well as take your crafting to another level. This is a fun & easy intro to designing & producing unique & professional-looking items. 

This course takes you through different aspects of the machine and its capabilities. You will make T-shirts, sports mugs, jars & decals, & Rhinestone designs. (intro to heat press inc). Materials are included.

3D Printer: Machine Intro

Saturday 10 - 2pm | $60 Total, for non-members | Free for members
(lunch not included)

May 20th OR 27th 

In this class you will learn about the different types of printing, build materials, 3D files, and print software. You will learn how to prepare a file for the best chance of success, prepare the build plate, remove the finished part, and do any necessary post-processing.

We have Enders and Prusa 3D Printers, which have different qualities and strengths.

After this class, members will be able to reserve and independently use our 3D printers.

Sewing Machine

Make Your Own Clothing
for Beginners

Making your own clothes is actually much easier than you thought! Our instructor, who has 50+ years of experience in making clothes, will take you on a journey from getting comfortable with your machine and learning how to make patterns, to finally making your very own garment. 

Bring your own sewing machine. If you're unable to do so, let us know at booking.

Intro to Ceramics 

May 27th, June 3rd, 10th, 17th24th 

This fabulous introduction to hand-building ceramics is a great way to relax, use your hands & rest your mind. This class is perfect for a fun night with friends, perfect for beginners who want to learn a new skill, tap into their creative side, or want to create a unique memorable gift. You will get the chance to build simple household objects such as cups, mugs, tealight candle holders, decorative plates, soap dishes, etc. Each class focuses on a different technique & you will be able to walk away with a finished product. (drying time can take up to 10 days, depending on what you make, storage for drying is included in the cost.)

Repairs and Alterations
for Beginners

Update and personalize your favorite items and more! In this class, you will learn simple fixes for your clothes such as hemming and size adjustments as well as how to transform thrifted items into new trending pieces.

 

This class is for students who are able to thread their machines and do basic stitching. Please bring any garments you'd like to work on. If you need to refresh your skills see our "Sewing Machine for Beginners" class.
