About the event

We are excited to announce a free 4-hour Fiber Optic Fusion Splicing Micro Course on May 20, 2024. This course will be hosted by The Bean Path in collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Sumitomo Electric Lightwave. Sumitomo Electric Lightwave is a recognized leader in optical fiber technologies and solutions for data center, enterprise, and communication networks.   This event is being held as part of Fiber Broadband Awareness Week in Jackson, Mississippi during the week of May 20, 2024. There will also be an opportunity to meet local contractors and employers in the fiber business who are interested in recruiting motivated individuals for fusion splicing and fiber related jobs at the culminating networking event to be held on Thursday May 23, 2024 at 6PM at Holmes Community College-Ridgeland, at the D.P. “Pat” McGowan Workforce Training Center.   Event Details OVERVIEW: The course will be held at The Bean Path in Jackson, MS [451 Gallatin St., Jackson, MS 39203].
